Feeling Fine Friday: 5 Things to Make You Smile From the Week | This Miss Cooks

How is it already Friday again?!

I’m certainly not mad about it, but this week has flown by at warp speed. And to be honest, some of it was seriously the pits. As with everything though, there are always little things to find joy in, and that’s what I’m trying to do here today and every day.

Proud Moment. On Monday I ran 10 miles for my marathon training and I was reminded of just how far I’ve come. It helped that the Portland Marathon confirmed today that the somewhat beleaguered event had settled into its new course after a couple of months of drama and uncertainty. My calendar event was listed as “10 miles. One way or another.” and I’m not sure I would have started without those words of determination from past-self.

Tuesday morning I forgot my coffee on the counter while rushing out the door.

Alright. Fine. I can drink crummy hospital drip.

Wednesday morning. Coffee successfully brought to work and then promptly spilled on the floor.

No, no, that’s cool. Surely this grapefruit sparkling water will keep me awake with its effervescence.

Thursday was a lecture from my dentist about how much coffee I drink.
